Customizing Your Viewing Experience

Ekkl offers subtitles and closed captions on most content to enhance your viewing experience. Whether you prefer to watch with captions for accessibility or to follow along more easily, here's how to manage these settings.

Turning Subtitles On or Off During Playback

  1. Start playing your content: Select a movie, TV show, or other video content.
  2. Access the player controls: Tap or click on the screen to reveal the playback controls.
  3. Find the subtitles/CC icon: Look for a speech bubble icon, "CC" button, or "Subtitles" option in the player controls (usually in the bottom right corner).
  4. Select your preference:
    • Choose a subtitle language to turn captions on
    • Select "Off" or "None" to disable subtitles
  5. Resume watching: Your selection will be applied immediately.

Subtitle Availability

  • Most Ekkl original content includes English subtitles/closed captions
  • Subtitle availability may vary by title
  • If subtitles aren't available for a specific title, the CC option will not appear

Accessibility Features

Closed captions include not just dialogue but also descriptions of relevant sounds (e.g., [door closes], [music playing]) to support viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing.
