Making Ekkl Enjoyable for Everyone
At Ekkl, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy faith-based entertainment. We're committed to making our platform accessible to users of all abilities. Here's an overview of our accessibility features and how to use them.
Available Accessibility Features
Closed Captions and Subtitles:
- Most Ekkl content includes closed captions for viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Captions include dialogue as well as relevant sound descriptions (e.g., [music playing], [door closes])
- See our "How to Enable Subtitles and Captions" article for instructions
Screen Reader Compatibility:
- The Ekkl website and apps are designed to work with popular screen readers
- We use proper heading structures, alt text for images, and ARIA labels to support navigation
- For the best experience, use the latest version of your preferred screen reader (VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA, JAWS)
Keyboard Navigation:
- Our web platform supports full keyboard navigation
- Use Tab to move between elements, Enter to select, and arrow keys to navigate menus
High Contrast and Text Size:
- Use your device's built-in accessibility settings to increase text size or enable high contrast mode
- Ekkl will respect your system-wide accessibility preferences on most devices
Audio Descriptions:
- Select content includes audio descriptions that narrate visual elements for viewers who are blind or have low vision
- When available, audio descriptions can be enabled from the same menu as subtitles during playback
- We're working to expand audio description availability across our library
