Permanently Removing Your Account and Data

We're sorry to see you go! If you've decided to delete your Ekkl account, this guide will walk you through the process. Please read carefully, as account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Before You Delete Your Account

Before proceeding, please consider the following:

  • Cancel your subscription first: If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account to avoid future charges. You can cancel in your account settings.
  • Use remaining access: If you've already paid for a billing period, remember that you'll retain access until that period ends. You may want to wait until then to delete your account.
  • Data deletion is permanent: Once your account is deleted, all your personal data, watch history, preferences, and downloads will be permanently erased and cannot be recovered.
  • Downloaded content: Any content you've downloaded for offline viewing will become inaccessible once your account is deleted.

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Log in to your account: Visit ekkl.com and log in with your credentials.
  2. Go to Account Settings: Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Select "Delete Account": Scroll to the bottom of the Account Settings page and click on "Delete Account."
  4. Confirm your identity: For security purposes, you'll be asked to re-enter your password to confirm that you are the account owner.
  5. Provide feedback (optional): We'd appreciate knowing why you're leaving so we can improve our service. This step is optional.
  6. Confirm deletion: Click "Permanently Delete My Account" to finalize the process.
  7. Confirmation email: You'll receive an email confirming that your account deletion request has been processed.

What Happens After Deletion

Once you confirm deletion:

  • Immediate: You will be logged out of all devices and will no longer be able to access your account.
  • Within 48 hours: Your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems, including your email, name, payment information, watch history, and preferences.
  • Legal retention: In rare cases, certain data may be retained for a limited time if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes). We will inform you if this applies to your account.

Changed Your Mind?

If you've recently deleted your account and want to come back:

  • Within 24 hours: Contact our support team immediately at ekkl.com/contact. We may be able to recover your account before the deletion is finalized.
  • After 24 hours: Unfortunately, once the deletion process is complete, your data cannot be recovered. You're welcome to create a new account, but your previous watch history and preferences will not be restored.
