Watch Your Favorite Shows Anywhere—Even Without Internet

One of the great benefits of your Ekkl subscription is the ability to download movies, TV shows, and podcasts for offline viewing. This feature is perfect for travel, commutes, or anywhere you might not have a reliable internet connection. Here's how to use it:

Requirements for Offline Viewing

Before you begin, please note:

  • Mobile devices only: Offline downloads are available on the Ekkl iOS and Android apps. This feature is not available on web browsers, smart TVs, or streaming devices.
  • Storage space: Make sure your device has enough free storage space for your downloads. Movies typically require 1-3 GB, while TV episodes require 500 MB-1 GB each.
  • Active subscription: You must have an active Ekkl subscription to download and watch offline content.

How to Download Content

  1. Open the Ekkl app: Launch the Ekkl app on your iOS or Android device and log in to your account.
  2. Find the content you want: Browse or search for the movie, TV show, or podcast you'd like to download.
  3. Tap the download icon: On the content's details page, look for the download icon (a downward arrow). Tap it to begin the download.
  4. Wait for the download to complete: You'll see a progress indicator showing the download status. Make sure you stay connected to the internet until the download finishes.
  5. Access your downloads: Once complete, you can find all your downloaded content in the "Downloads" section of the app, accessible from the main menu.

Watching Downloaded Content

To watch your downloaded content:

  1. Open the Ekkl app and go to the "Downloads" section.
  2. Tap on the content you want to watch.
  3. Enjoy! No internet connection required.

Managing Your Downloads

To keep your device storage in check:

  • Delete individual downloads: Swipe left on any downloaded item in the Downloads section and tap "Delete," or tap the checkmark icon on the content and select "Remove Download."
  • Download quality settings: In the app settings, you can choose your preferred download quality (Standard or High). Standard quality uses less storage space, while High quality provides better picture clarity.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do downloads last? Downloaded content remains available as long as you have an active subscription. If your subscription lapses, your downloads will become unavailable until you resubscribe.

Can I download on multiple devices? Yes! You can download content on any device where you're logged into your Ekkl account. However, downloads are device-specific and cannot be transferred between devices.

Why can't I download certain content? Some content may have licensing restrictions that prevent offline downloads. If you don't see a download option, that title is only available for streaming.

What happens if I'm offline for a long time? To verify your subscription is still active, the Ekkl app requires an internet connection at least once every 30 days. After 30 days offline, you'll need to connect to the internet briefly to continue accessing your downloads.
