Understanding Ekkl's Faith-Based Approach

Ekkl is built on a foundation of faith, but we know our community includes believers from many different backgrounds and traditions. Here are answers to common questions about our approach to faith-based content.

What makes Ekkl a faith-focused platform?

Ekkl—derived from the Greek word "Ekklesia," meaning "the called-out ones" or "church"—was founded to provide a streaming home for faith-based, family-friendly entertainment. Our mission is to celebrate and share the message of Jesus Christ through movies, TV shows, podcasts, and more.

Everything on Ekkl is curated with faith and family values in mind, so you can feel confident about what you and your loved ones are watching.

Do your shows align with a specific denomination?

Ekkl is a non-denominational platform. Our content is designed to resonate with Christians across different traditions and backgrounds. While individual movies, shows, or podcasts may reflect the perspectives of their creators, Ekkl as a platform does not promote any single denomination over another.

We welcome believers from all Christian traditions—whether you're Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Pentecostal, non-denominational, or any other background. Our goal is to provide content that uplifts, inspires, and draws viewers closer to their faith.

Is all content on Ekkl explicitly religious?

While all of our content aligns with faith-based, family-friendly values, not every movie or show is explicitly religious in nature. Our library includes:

  • Overtly faith-based content: Films and shows that directly explore Christian themes, Bible stories, and testimonies
  • Family-friendly entertainment: Clean, wholesome content that reflects positive values without explicit religious messaging
  • Inspirational stories: Content that highlights themes of hope, redemption, courage, and love

We believe faith can be expressed and celebrated in many ways, and our diverse library reflects that.

Can I submit a devotional or podcast?

We appreciate your passion for sharing your faith! However, Ekkl does not accept unsolicited content submissions, including devotionals, podcasts, scripts, or video content. This policy exists to protect both your creative rights and ours.

If you're a content creator interested in potential partnerships, please keep an eye on our Careers page or official announcements for any open calls for submissions.

I have concerns about specific content. Who can I contact?

We carefully curate our library, but if you have concerns about any content on Ekkl—whether related to theological accuracy, appropriateness, or other issues—we want to hear from you.

Please contact us at ekkl.com/contact and select "Content Feedback" as your topic. Include the title of the content and a description of your concern. Our content team reviews all feedback.

How can I share Ekkl with my church or small group?

We love seeing Ekkl used in faith communities! Here are some ideas:

  • Movie nights: Host a screening of an Ekkl film at your church or in your home
  • Small group discussions: Use faith-based content as a conversation starter
  • Gift subscriptions: Share Ekkl with friends and family
  • Group discounts: Contact us at ekkl.com/contact to inquire about group pricing for churches and ministries

Thank you for being part of the Ekkl community. We're honored to share this journey of faith with you!
